Ha'azinu - Chamishi

"If the nations were wise, they would think about what they're doing and shape up. How could tiny Israel conquer much more powerful nations unless God was on their side? Their idols are nothing! Their (metaphorical) fruit is like poison grapes. Their vine is like a cobra's venom. God has their punishment waiting for them and their judgment day is at hand. When He punishes those nations, He will comfort Israel from oppression, asking where the "gods" of those nations have gone. Really, it's only Him; there are no other gods and there never were. He is the only source of life and death, sickness and health."
