Kiddushin 3:6

If a man betroths a woman on the condition that he intercede on her behalf with the governor or that he works for her as a laborer and he fulfills the condition, then she is betrothed to him. If he does not fulfill the condition, she is not betrothed. If he betroths her on the condition that his father consents to the union (within 30 days) and the father consents, she is betrothed. If the father does not consent, she is not. If the father dies within the 30 days, she is betrothed. If the son died, the father is directed to say that he does not consent (so that the woman will not be betrothed to the deceased, requiring her to perform yibum or chalitzah).

Kiddushin 3:7

Let’s say that a father gave his daughter in betrothal but he forgot to whom. If a man says that it was to him, he is believed. If two men each say that it was to them, they must each write her a get, or one may write her a get and the other may marry her.
