Beitzah 1:2

Beis Shammai say that if a person slaughters a wild animal or a bird (whose blood must be covered) on yom tov, he may use a shovel to dig dirt to cover the blood; Beis Hillel say that one is not permitted to slaughter a wild animal or a bird on yom tov unless he prepared dirt before yom tov. Both parties agree that if one did slaughter, he should dig with a shovel to cover the dirt. Furthermore, ashes from a stove are considered prepared for use (as opposed to being muktzeh).

Beitzah 1:3

Beis Shammai say that one may not move a ladder from one bird coop to another but one may tilt it from window to window within the same coop; Beis Hillel permit one to move the ladder from coop to coop. Beis Shammai say that one may not take a bird from the coop unless he handled the birds before yom tov; Beis Hillel say it is sufficient if he verbally expressed before yom tov his intention to take the birds on yom tov.
