Pesachim 1:3

Rabbi Yehuda says that if one didn’t search for chometz on the eve of 14 Nisan, he searches on the morning of 14 Nisan; if he didn’t search then, he searches at the time when chometz must be removed (the start of sixth hour of 14 Nisan). The Sages say that if one didn’t search for chometz on the eve of 14 Nisan, he searches at any time on 14 Nisan. If he didn’t search on 14 Nisan, he searches on chol hamoed. If he didn’t search on chol hamoed, he searches after Passover. The chometz that a person keeps after searching (to eat that night and the next morning) he puts in a secure place so that he won’t have to search for it again.

Pesachim 1:4

Rabbi Meir says that we may eat chometz for the entirety of the fifth hour of the day and it must be burned at the start of the sixth hour; Rabbi Yehuda says it may be eaten the entire fourth hour, it is “suspended” for the fifth hour and it must be burned at the start of the sixth hour. (By “suspended,” we mean that it may no longer be eaten but it not yet need be burned.)
