(ל) וַיֹּ֤אמֶר מֹשֶׁה֙ אֶל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל רְא֛וּ קָרָ֥א יְהֹוָ֖ה בְּשֵׁ֑ם בְּצַלְאֵ֛ל בֶּן־אוּרִ֥י בֶן־ח֖וּר לְמַטֵּ֥ה יְהוּדָֽה׃ (לא) וַיְמַלֵּ֥א אֹת֖וֹ ר֣וּחַ אֱלֹהִ֑ים בְּחׇכְמָ֛ה בִּתְבוּנָ֥ה וּבְדַ֖עַת וּבְכׇל־מְלָאכָֽה׃ (לב) וְלַחְשֹׁ֖ב מַֽחֲשָׁבֹ֑ת לַעֲשֹׂ֛ת בַּזָּהָ֥ב וּבַכֶּ֖סֶף וּבַנְּחֹֽשֶׁת׃ (לג) וּבַחֲרֹ֥שֶׁת אֶ֛בֶן לְמַלֹּ֖את וּבַחֲרֹ֣שֶׁת עֵ֑ץ לַעֲשׂ֖וֹת בְּכׇל־מְלֶ֥אכֶת מַחֲשָֽׁבֶת׃ (לד) וּלְהוֹרֹ֖ת נָתַ֣ן בְּלִבּ֑וֹ ה֕וּא וְאׇֽהֳלִיאָ֥ב בֶּן־אֲחִיסָמָ֖ךְ לְמַטֵּה־דָֽן׃ (לה) מִלֵּ֨א אֹתָ֜ם חׇכְמַת־לֵ֗ב לַעֲשׂוֹת֮ כׇּל־מְלֶ֣אכֶת חָרָ֣שׁ ׀ וְחֹשֵׁב֒ וְרֹקֵ֞ם בַּתְּכֵ֣לֶת וּבָֽאַרְגָּמָ֗ן בְּתוֹלַ֧עַת הַשָּׁנִ֛י וּבַשֵּׁ֖שׁ וְאֹרֵ֑ג עֹשֵׂי֙ כׇּל־מְלָאכָ֔ה וְחֹשְׁבֵ֖י מַחֲשָׁבֹֽת׃

(ל) וַאֲמַר משֶׁה לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל חֲזוֹ דְּרַבִּי יְיָ בְּשׁוּם בְּצַלְאֵל בַּר אוּרִי בַר חוּר לְשִׁבְטָא דִיהוּדָה: (לא) וְאַשְׁלֵם עִמֵּיהּ רוּחַ נְבוּאָה מִן קֳדָם יְיָ בְּחָכְמְתָא בְּסוּכְלְתָנוּ וּבְמַדַּע וּבְכָל עִבִידָא: (לב) וּלְאַלָּפָא אוּמַנְוָן לְמֶעְבַּד בְּדַהֲבָא וּבְכַסְפָּא וּבִנְחָשָׁא: (לג) וּבְאוּמָנוּת אֶבֶן טָבָא לְאַשְׁלָמָא וּבְנַגָּרוּת אָעָא לְמֶעְבַּד בְּכָל עִבִידַת אוּמַנְוָן: (לד) וּלְאַלָּפָא יְהַב בְּלִבֵּיהּ הוּא וְאָהֳלִיאָב בַּר אֲחִיסָמָךְ לְשִׁבְטָא דְדָן: (לה) אַשְׁלֵם עִמְּהוֹן חַכִּימוּת לִבָּא לְמֶעְבַּד כָּל עִבִידַת נַגָּר וְאָמָּן וְצַיָּר בְּתִכְלָא וּבְאַרְגְּוָנָא בִּצְבַע זְהוֹרִי וּבְבוּצָא וּמַחֵי עָבְדֵי כָּל עִבִידָא וּמַלְפֵי אוּמַנְוָן:

30. Moshe said to the children of Israel, “See, Hashem has elevated by name Betzalel, son of Uri son of Chur, of the tribe of Yehuda. 31. He perfected him with a spirit from before Hashem in wisdom, understanding and knowledge, and in every work, 32. to teach craftsmanship, to make in gold, in silver and in copper, 33. the craftsmanship of whole precious stones and carpentry with wood – to perform every work of craftsmanship,[1] 34. and to teach, it was placed in his heart – he and Oholiav, son of Achisamach, of the tribe of Dan. 35. He perfected them with wisdom of the heart to do every work – carver, and craftsman, and designer[2] in blue, purple and crimson-dyed wool and in linen, and weaver – performing all work and teaching craftsmanship.”[3]

Chapter 36

(א) וְעָשָׂה֩ בְצַלְאֵ֨ל וְאׇהֳלִיאָ֜ב וְכֹ֣ל ׀ אִ֣ישׁ חֲכַם־לֵ֗ב אֲשֶׁר֩ נָתַ֨ן יְהֹוָ֜ה חׇכְמָ֤ה וּתְבוּנָה֙ בָּהֵ֔מָּה לָדַ֣עַת לַעֲשֹׂ֔ת אֶֽת־כׇּל־מְלֶ֖אכֶת עֲבֹדַ֣ת הַקֹּ֑דֶשׁ לְכֹ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־צִוָּ֖ה יְהֹוָֽה׃ (ב) וַיִּקְרָ֣א מֹשֶׁ֗ה אֶל־בְּצַלְאֵל֮ וְאֶל־אׇֽהֳלִיאָב֒ וְאֶל֙ כׇּל־אִ֣ישׁ חֲכַם־לֵ֔ב אֲשֶׁ֨ר נָתַ֧ן יְהֹוָ֛ה חׇכְמָ֖ה בְּלִבּ֑וֹ כֹּ֚ל אֲשֶׁ֣ר נְשָׂא֣וֹ לִבּ֔וֹ לְקׇרְבָ֥ה אֶל־הַמְּלָאכָ֖ה לַעֲשֹׂ֥ת אֹתָֽהּ׃ (ג) וַיִּקְח֞וּ מִלִּפְנֵ֣י מֹשֶׁ֗ה אֵ֤ת כׇּל־הַתְּרוּמָה֙ אֲשֶׁ֨ר הֵבִ֜יאוּ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל לִמְלֶ֛אכֶת עֲבֹדַ֥ת הַקֹּ֖דֶשׁ לַעֲשֹׂ֣ת אֹתָ֑הּ וְ֠הֵ֠ם הֵבִ֨יאוּ אֵלָ֥יו ע֛וֹד נְדָבָ֖ה בַּבֹּ֥קֶר בַּבֹּֽקֶר׃ (ד) וַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙ כׇּל־הַ֣חֲכָמִ֔ים הָעֹשִׂ֕ים אֵ֖ת כׇּל־מְלֶ֣אכֶת הַקֹּ֑דֶשׁ אִֽישׁ־אִ֥ישׁ מִמְּלַאכְתּ֖וֹ אֲשֶׁר־הֵ֥מָּה עֹשִֽׂים׃ (ה) וַיֹּאמְרוּ֙ אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֣ה לֵּאמֹ֔ר מַרְבִּ֥ים הָעָ֖ם לְהָבִ֑יא מִדֵּ֤י הָֽעֲבֹדָה֙ לַמְּלָאכָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־צִוָּ֥ה יְהֹוָ֖ה לַעֲשֹׂ֥ת אֹתָֽהּ׃ (ו) וַיְצַ֣ו מֹשֶׁ֗ה וַיַּעֲבִ֨ירוּ ק֥וֹל בַּֽמַּחֲנֶה֮ לֵאמֹר֒ אִ֣ישׁ וְאִשָּׁ֗ה אַל־יַעֲשׂוּ־ע֛וֹד מְלָאכָ֖ה לִתְרוּמַ֣ת הַקֹּ֑דֶשׁ וַיִּכָּלֵ֥א הָעָ֖ם מֵהָבִֽיא׃ (ז) וְהַמְּלָאכָ֗ה הָיְתָ֥ה דַיָּ֛ם לְכׇל־הַמְּלָאכָ֖ה לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת אֹתָ֑הּ וְהוֹתֵֽר׃ {ס}

(א) וַעֲבַד בְּצַלְאֵל וְאָהֳלִיאָב וְכָל גְּבַר חַכִּים לִבָּא דִּיהַב יְיָ חָכְמָא וְסוּכְלְתָנוּתָא בְּהוֹן לְמִדַּע לְמֶעְבַּד יָת כָּל עִבִידַת פָּלְחַן קוּדְשָׁא לְכֹל דִּי פַּקֵּד יְיָ: (ב) וּקְרָא משֶׁה לִבְצַלְאֵל וּלְאָהֳלִיאָב וּלְכָל גְּבַר חַכִּים לִבָּא דִּיהַב יְיָ חָכְמְתָא בְּלִבֵּיהּ כָּל דְּאִתְרְעֵי לִבֵּיהּ לְמִקְרַב לְעִבִדְתָּא לְמֶעְבַּד יָתֵיהּ: (ג) וּנְסִיבוּ מִן קֳדָם משֶׁה יָת כָּל אַפְרָשׁוּתָא דִּי אַיְתִיאוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לְעִבִידַת פָּלְחַן קוּדְשָׁא לְמֶעְבַּד יָתַהּ וְאִנּוּן מַיְתַן לֵיהּ עוֹד נְדַבְתָּא בִּצְפַר בִּצְפָר: (ד) וַאֲתוֹ כָּל חַכִּימַיָּא דְּעָבְדִין יָת כָּל עִבִידַת קוּדְשָׁא גְּבַר גְּבַר מֵעִבִדְתֵּיהּ דְּאִנּוּן עָבְדִין: (ה) וַאֲמָרוּ לְמשֶׁה לְמֵימַר מַסְגַּן עַמָּא לְאַיְתָאָה מִסַּת פָּלְחָנָא לְעִבִדְתָּא דְּפַקֵּד יְיָ לְמֶעְבַּד יָתַהּ: (ו) וּפַקֵּד משֶׁה וְאַעֲבַרוּ כָרוֹזָא בְמַשְׁרִיתָא לְמֵימַר גְּבַר וְאִתְּתָא לָא יַעַבְדוּן עוֹד עִבִדְתָּא לְאַפְרָשׁוּת קוּדְשָׁא וּפְסַק עַמָּא מִלְּאַיְתָאָה: (ז) וְעִבִדְתָּא הֲוַת מִסַּת לְכָל עִבִדְתָּא לְמֶעְבַּד יָתַהּ וִיתָרָת:

1. Betzalel and Oholiav and every man of wise heart into whom Hashem placed wisdom and understanding to know (how) to make, made[4] all the work of the holy service[5] for all that Hashem commanded. 2. Moshe called to Betzalel and to Oholiav, and to every man of wise heart into whose heart Hashem placed wisdom, all whose heart desired to approach the work to perform it. 3. They took from before Moshe all the gift(s) that the children of Israel brought, for the work of the holy service, to perform it. And they brought to them further gift(s) each morning.[6] 4. All the wise men, who were performing the holy work, came, each from his work that they were performing, 5. and they said to Moshe, saying, “The people are increasing to bring (more) than necessary for the service of the work that Hashem commanded to perform it.” 6. Moshe commanded, and they announced[7] in the camp, saying, “Let no man or woman make further work for the holy gift!” The people stopped bringing. 7. The work was sufficient[8] for all the work, to perform it and more.
