Chapter 38

(א) וַיַּ֛עַשׂ אֶת־מִזְבַּ֥ח הָעֹלָ֖ה עֲצֵ֣י שִׁטִּ֑ים חָמֵשׁ֩ אַמּ֨וֹת אׇרְכּ֜וֹ וְחָֽמֵשׁ־אַמּ֤וֹת רׇחְבּוֹ֙ רָב֔וּעַ וְשָׁלֹ֥שׁ אַמּ֖וֹת קֹמָתֽוֹ׃ (ב) וַיַּ֣עַשׂ קַרְנֹתָ֗יו עַ֚ל אַרְבַּ֣ע פִּנֹּתָ֔יו מִמֶּ֖נּוּ הָי֣וּ קַרְנֹתָ֑יו וַיְצַ֥ף אֹת֖וֹ נְחֹֽשֶׁת׃ (ג) וַיַּ֜עַשׂ אֶֽת־כׇּל־כְּלֵ֣י הַמִּזְבֵּ֗חַ אֶת־הַסִּירֹ֤ת וְאֶת־הַיָּעִים֙ וְאֶת־הַמִּזְרָקֹ֔ת אֶת־הַמִּזְלָגֹ֖ת וְאֶת־הַמַּחְתֹּ֑ת כׇּל־כֵּלָ֖יו עָשָׂ֥ה נְחֹֽשֶׁת׃ (ד) וַיַּ֤עַשׂ לַמִּזְבֵּ֙חַ֙ מִכְבָּ֔ר מַעֲשֵׂ֖ה רֶ֣שֶׁת נְחֹ֑שֶׁת תַּ֧חַת כַּרְכֻּבּ֛וֹ מִלְּמַ֖טָּה עַד־חֶצְיֽוֹ׃ (ה) וַיִּצֹ֞ק אַרְבַּ֧ע טַבָּעֹ֛ת בְּאַרְבַּ֥ע הַקְּצָוֺ֖ת לְמִכְבַּ֣ר הַנְּחֹ֑שֶׁת בָּתִּ֖ים לַבַּדִּֽים׃ (ו) וַיַּ֥עַשׂ אֶת־הַבַּדִּ֖ים עֲצֵ֣י שִׁטִּ֑ים וַיְצַ֥ף אֹתָ֖ם נְחֹֽשֶׁת׃ (ז) וַיָּבֵ֨א אֶת־הַבַּדִּ֜ים בַּטַּבָּעֹ֗ת עַ֚ל צַלְעֹ֣ת הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ לָשֵׂ֥את אֹת֖וֹ בָּהֶ֑ם נְב֥וּב לֻחֹ֖ת עָשָׂ֥ה אֹתֽוֹ׃ {ס}

(א) וַעֲבַד יָת מַדְבְּחָא דַעֲלָתָא דְּאָעֵי שִׁטִּין חֲמֵשׁ אַמִּין אֻרְכֵּיהּ וַחֲמֵשׁ אַמִּין פְּתָיֵהּ מְרַבַּע וּתְלָתָא אַמִּין רוּמֵיהּ: (ב) וַעֲבַד קַרְנוֹהִי עַל אַרְבַּע זִוְיָתֵיהּ מִנֵּיהּ הֲווֹ קַרְנוֹהִי וַחֲפָא יָתֵיהּ נְחָשָׁא: (ג) וַעֲבַד יָת כָּל מָנֵי מַדְבְּחָא יָת פְּסַכְתֵּרָוָתָא וְיָת מַגְרוֹפְיָתָא וְיָת מִזְרְקָתָא יָת צִנּוּרְיָתָא וְיָת מַחְתְּיָתָא כָּל מָנוֹהִי עֲבַד נְחָשָׁא: (ד) וַעֲבַד לְמַדְבְּחָא סְרָדָא עוֹבַד מְצַדְתָּא דִנְחָשָׁא תְּחוֹת סוֹבָבֵיהּ מִלְּרַע עַד פַּלְגֵּיהּ: (ה) וְאַתִּיךְ אַרְבַּע עִזְקָתָא בְּאַרְבַּע סִטְרָתָא לִסְרָדָא דִנְחָשָׁא אַתְרָא לַאֲרִיחַיָּא: (ו) וַעֲבַד יָת אֲרִיחַיָּא דְּאָעֵי שִׁטִּין וַחֲפָא יָתְהוֹן נְחָשָׁא: (ז) וְאָעֵיל יָת אֲרִיחַיָּא בְּעִזְקָתָא עַל סִטְרֵי מַדְבְּחָא לְמִטַּל יָתֵיהּ בְּהוֹן חֲלִיל לוּחִין עֲבַד יָתֵיהּ:

1. He made the burnt-offering altar of acacia wood, its length five cubits and its width five cubits – square – and its height three cubits. 2. He made its horns on its four corners, its horns were of it and he overlaid it with copper. 3. He made all the utensils of the altar – the pails, and the shovels, and the basins, and the flesh hooks, and the fire pans – all its utensils he made of copper. 4. He made for the altar a grating of copper meshwork, under its ledge below until its center. 5. He cast four rings on the four corners of the copper grating, a place for the poles. 6. He made the poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with copper, 7. and he brought the poles into the rings on the sides of the altar to carry it with them. He made it hollow, of boards.

(ח) וַיַּ֗עַשׂ אֵ֚ת הַכִּיּ֣וֹר נְחֹ֔שֶׁת וְאֵ֖ת כַּנּ֣וֹ נְחֹ֑שֶׁת בְּמַרְאֹת֙ הַצֹּ֣בְאֹ֔ת אֲשֶׁ֣ר צָֽבְא֔וּ פֶּ֖תַח אֹ֥הֶל מוֹעֵֽד׃ {ס}

(ח) וַעֲבַד יָת כִּיוֹרָא נְחָשָׁא וְיָת בְּסִיסֵיהּ נְחָשָׁא בְּמֶחְזְיַן נְשַׁיָּא דְּאָתְיָן לְצַלָּאָה בִּתְרַע מַשְׁכַּן זִמְנָא:

8. He made the basin of copper and its stand of copper, from the mirrors of the women who came to pray[1] at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting.

(ט) וַיַּ֖עַשׂ אֶת־הֶחָצֵ֑ר לִפְאַ֣ת ׀ נֶ֣גֶב תֵּימָ֗נָה קַלְעֵ֤י הֶֽחָצֵר֙ שֵׁ֣שׁ מׇשְׁזָ֔ר מֵאָ֖ה בָּאַמָּֽה׃ (י) עַמּוּדֵיהֶ֣ם עֶשְׂרִ֔ים וְאַדְנֵיהֶ֥ם עֶשְׂרִ֖ים נְחֹ֑שֶׁת וָוֵ֧י הָעַמּוּדִ֛ים וַחֲשֻׁקֵיהֶ֖ם כָּֽסֶף׃ (יא) וְלִפְאַ֤ת צָפוֹן֙ מֵאָ֣ה בָֽאַמָּ֔ה עַמּוּדֵיהֶ֣ם עֶשְׂרִ֔ים וְאַדְנֵיהֶ֥ם עֶשְׂרִ֖ים נְחֹ֑שֶׁת וָוֵ֧י הָֽעַמּוּדִ֛ים וַחֲשֻׁקֵיהֶ֖ם כָּֽסֶף׃ (יב) וְלִפְאַת־יָ֗ם קְלָעִים֙ חֲמִשִּׁ֣ים בָּֽאַמָּ֔ה עַמּוּדֵיהֶ֣ם עֲשָׂרָ֔ה וְאַדְנֵיהֶ֖ם עֲשָׂרָ֑ה וָוֵ֧י הָעַמֻּדִ֛ים וַחֲשׁוּקֵיהֶ֖ם כָּֽסֶף׃ (יג) וְלִפְאַ֛ת קֵ֥דְמָה מִזְרָ֖חָה חֲמִשִּׁ֥ים אַמָּֽה׃ (יד) קְלָעִ֛ים חֲמֵשׁ־עֶשְׂרֵ֥ה אַמָּ֖ה אֶל־הַכָּתֵ֑ף עַמּוּדֵיהֶ֣ם שְׁלֹשָׁ֔ה וְאַדְנֵיהֶ֖ם שְׁלֹשָֽׁה׃ (טו) וְלַכָּתֵ֣ף הַשֵּׁנִ֗ית מִזֶּ֤ה וּמִזֶּה֙ לְשַׁ֣עַר הֶֽחָצֵ֔ר קְלָעִ֕ים חֲמֵ֥שׁ עֶשְׂרֵ֖ה אַמָּ֑ה עַמֻּדֵיהֶ֣ם שְׁלֹשָׁ֔ה וְאַדְנֵיהֶ֖ם שְׁלֹשָֽׁה׃ (טז) כׇּל־קַלְעֵ֧י הֶחָצֵ֛ר סָבִ֖יב שֵׁ֥שׁ מׇשְׁזָֽר׃ (יז) וְהָאֲדָנִ֣ים לָֽעַמֻּדִים֮ נְחֹ֒שֶׁת֒ וָוֵ֨י הָֽעַמּוּדִ֜ים וַחֲשׁוּקֵיהֶם֙ כֶּ֔סֶף וְצִפּ֥וּי רָאשֵׁיהֶ֖ם כָּ֑סֶף וְהֵם֙ מְחֻשָּׁקִ֣ים כֶּ֔סֶף כֹּ֖ל עַמֻּדֵ֥י הֶחָצֵֽר׃ (יח) וּמָסַ֞ךְ שַׁ֤עַר הֶחָצֵר֙ מַעֲשֵׂ֣ה רֹקֵ֔ם תְּכֵ֧לֶת וְאַרְגָּמָ֛ן וְתוֹלַ֥עַת שָׁנִ֖י וְשֵׁ֣שׁ מָשְׁזָ֑ר וְעֶשְׂרִ֤ים אַמָּה֙ אֹ֔רֶךְ וְקוֹמָ֤ה בְרֹ֙חַב֙ חָמֵ֣שׁ אַמּ֔וֹת לְעֻמַּ֖ת קַלְעֵ֥י הֶחָצֵֽר׃ (יט) וְעַמֻּֽדֵיהֶם֙ אַרְבָּעָ֔ה וְאַדְנֵיהֶ֥ם אַרְבָּעָ֖ה נְחֹ֑שֶׁת וָוֵיהֶ֣ם כֶּ֔סֶף וְצִפּ֧וּי רָאשֵׁיהֶ֛ם וַחֲשֻׁקֵיהֶ֖ם כָּֽסֶף׃ (כ) וְֽכׇל־הַיְתֵדֹ֞ת לַמִּשְׁכָּ֧ן וְלֶחָצֵ֛ר סָבִ֖יב נְחֹֽשֶׁת׃ {ס}

(ט) וַעֲבַד יָת דַּרְתָּא לְרוּחַ עֵבַר דָּרוֹמָא סְרָדֵי דַרְתָּא דְבוּץ שְׁזִיר מְאָה בְאַמִּין: (י) עַמּוּדֵיהוֹן עֶסְרִין וְסַמְכֵיהוֹן עֶסְרִין נְחָשָׁא וָוֵי עַמּוּדַיָּא וְכִבּוּשֵׁיהוֹן כְּסָף: (יא) וּלְרוּחַ צִפּוּנָא מְאָה אַמִּין עַמּוּדֵיהוֹן עֶסְרִין וְסַמְכֵיהוֹן עֶסְרִין נְחָשָׁא וָוֵי עַמּוּדַיָּא וְכִבּוּשֵׁיהוֹן דִּכְסָף: (יב) וּלְרוּחַ מַעַרְבָא סְרָדִין חַמְשִׁין בְּאַמִּין עַמּוּדֵיהוֹן עַסְרָא וְסַמְכֵיהוֹן עַסְרָא וָוֵי עַמּוּדַיָּא וְכִבּוּשֵׁיהוֹן דִּכְסָף: (יג) וּלְרוּחַ קִדּוּמָא מָדִינְחָא חַמְשִׁין אַמִּין: (יד) סְרָדִין חֲמֵשׁ עֶסְרֵי אַמִּין לְעִבְרָא עַמּוּדֵיהוֹן תְּלָתָא וְסַמְכֵיהוֹן תְּלָתָא: (טו) וּלְעִבְרָא תִנְיֵתָא מִכָּא וּמִכָּא לִתְרַע דַּרְתָּא סְרָדִין חֲמֵשׁ עֶסְרֵי אַמִּין עַמּוּדֵיהוֹן תְּלָתָא וְסַמְכֵיהוֹן תְּלָתָא (טז) כָּל סְרָדֵי דְדַרְתָּא סְחוֹר סְחוֹר דְּבוּץ שְׁזִיר: (יז) וְסַמְכַיָּא לְעַמּוּדַיָּא נְחָשָׁא וָוֵי עַמּוּדַיָּא וְכִבּוּשֵׁיהוֹן דִּכְסַף וְחִפּוּי רֵישֵׁיהוֹן דִּכְסָף וְאִנּוּן מְכַבְּשִׁין דִּכְסַף כָּל עַמּוּדֵי דַרְתָּא: (יח) וּפְרָסָא דִּתְרַע דַּרְתָּא עוֹבַד צַיָּר תִּכְלָא וְאַרְגְּוָנָא וּצְבַע זְהוֹרִי וּבוּץ שְׁזִיר וְעֶסְרִין אַמִּין אֻרְכָּא וְרוּמָא בְּפוּתְיָא חֲמֵשׁ אַמִּין לָקֳבֵל סְרָדֵי דַרְתָּא: (יט) וְעַמּוּדֵיהוֹן אַרְבְּעָא וְסַמְכֵיהוֹן אַרְבְּעָא נְחָשָׁא וָוֵיהוֹן דִּכְסַף וְחִפּוּי רֵישֵׁיהוֹן וְכִבּוּשֵׁיהוֹן דִּכְסָף: (כ) וְכָל סִכַּיָּא לְמַשְׁכְּנָא וּלְדַרְתָּא סְחוֹר סְחוֹר דִּנְחָשָׁא:

9. He made the courtyard. On the south side, the hangings of the courtyard, 100 cubits of twisted linen, 10. their 20 pillars and their 20 copper sockets, the hooks of the pillars and their bands of silver. 11. On the north side, 100 cubits, their 20 pillars and their 20 copper sockets, the hooks of the pillars and their bands of silver. 12. On the west side, 50 cubits of hangings, their ten pillars and their ten sockets, the hooks of the pillars and their bands of silver. 13. And on the front side, to the east, 50 cubits, 14. hangings 15 cubits on the side,[2] their three posts and their three sockets, 15. and on the second side, from this (side) and from this (side) of the gate of the courtyard, 15 cubits of hangings, their three pillars and their three sockets. 16. All the hangings of the courtyard all around were of twisted linen. 17. The sockets for the pillars were copper, the hooks of the pillars and their bands were silver, and their tops were overlaid with silver. And they were banded with silver, all the pillars of the courtyard. 18. The screen of the courtyard’s gate of the enclosure was the work of a designer – blue, purple and crimson-dyed wool and twisted linen, and 20 cubits long. And its height in width was five cubits, just like the hangings of the courtyard. 19. Their pillars were four and their sockets four, copper, their hooks silver and the overlay of their tops and their bands silver. 20. All the pegs of the Tabernacle and of the courtyard all around were copper.
