Chapter 9
(א) וַיְהִי֙ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַשְּׁמִינִ֔י קָרָ֣א מֹשֶׁ֔ה לְאַהֲרֹ֖ן וּלְבָנָ֑יו וּלְזִקְנֵ֖י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ (ב) וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֶֽל־אַהֲרֹ֗ן קַח־לְ֠ךָ֠ עֵ֣גֶל בֶּן־בָּקָ֧ר לְחַטָּ֛את וְאַ֥יִל לְעֹלָ֖ה תְּמִימִ֑ם וְהַקְרֵ֖ב לִפְנֵ֥י יְהֹוָֽה׃ (ג) וְאֶל־בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל תְּדַבֵּ֣ר לֵאמֹ֑ר קְח֤וּ שְׂעִיר־עִזִּים֙ לְחַטָּ֔את וְעֵ֨גֶל וָכֶ֧בֶשׂ בְּנֵי־שָׁנָ֛ה תְּמִימִ֖ם לְעֹלָֽה׃ (ד) וְשׁ֨וֹר וָאַ֜יִל לִשְׁלָמִ֗ים לִזְבֹּ֙חַ֙ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֔ה וּמִנְחָ֖ה בְּלוּלָ֣ה בַשָּׁ֑מֶן כִּ֣י הַיּ֔וֹם יְהֹוָ֖ה נִרְאָ֥ה אֲלֵיכֶֽם׃ (ה) וַיִּקְח֗וּ אֵ֚ת אֲשֶׁ֣ר צִוָּ֣ה מֹשֶׁ֔ה אֶל־פְּנֵ֖י אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֑ד וַֽיִּקְרְבוּ֙ כׇּל־הָ֣עֵדָ֔ה וַיַּֽעַמְד֖וּ לִפְנֵ֥י יְהֹוָֽה׃ (ו) וַיֹּ֣אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֔ה זֶ֧ה הַדָּבָ֛ר אֲשֶׁר־צִוָּ֥ה יְהֹוָ֖ה תַּעֲשׂ֑וּ וְיֵרָ֥א אֲלֵיכֶ֖ם כְּב֥וֹד יְהֹוָֽה׃ (ז) וַיֹּ֨אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֜ה אֶֽל־אַהֲרֹ֗ן קְרַ֤ב אֶל־הַמִּזְבֵּ֙חַ֙ וַעֲשֵׂ֞ה אֶת־חַטָּֽאתְךָ֙ וְאֶת־עֹ֣לָתֶ֔ךָ וְכַפֵּ֥ר בַּֽעַדְךָ֖ וּבְעַ֣ד הָעָ֑ם וַעֲשֵׂ֞ה אֶת־קׇרְבַּ֤ן הָעָם֙ וְכַפֵּ֣ר בַּֽעֲדָ֔ם כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר צִוָּ֥ה יְהֹוָֽה׃ (ח) וַיִּקְרַ֥ב אַהֲרֹ֖ן אֶל־הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַ וַיִּשְׁחַ֛ט אֶת־עֵ֥גֶל הַחַטָּ֖את אֲשֶׁר־לֽוֹ׃ (ט) וַ֠יַּקְרִ֠בוּ בְּנֵ֨י אַהֲרֹ֣ן אֶת־הַדָּם֮ אֵלָיו֒ וַיִּטְבֹּ֤ל אֶצְבָּעוֹ֙ בַּדָּ֔ם וַיִּתֵּ֖ן עַל־קַרְנ֣וֹת הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַ וְאֶת־הַדָּ֣ם יָצַ֔ק אֶל־יְס֖וֹד הַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃ (י) וְאֶת־הַחֵ֨לֶב וְאֶת־הַכְּלָיֹ֜ת וְאֶת־הַיֹּתֶ֤רֶת מִן־הַכָּבֵד֙ מִן־הַ֣חַטָּ֔את הִקְטִ֖יר הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חָה כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶת־מֹשֶֽׁה׃ (יא) וְאֶת־הַבָּשָׂ֖ר וְאֶת־הָע֑וֹר שָׂרַ֣ף בָּאֵ֔שׁ מִח֖וּץ לַֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃ (יב) וַיִּשְׁחַ֖ט אֶת־הָעֹלָ֑ה וַ֠יַּמְצִ֠אוּ בְּנֵ֨י אַהֲרֹ֤ן אֵלָיו֙ אֶת־הַדָּ֔ם וַיִּזְרְקֵ֥הוּ עַל־הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ סָבִֽיב׃ (יג) וְאֶת־הָעֹלָ֗ה הִמְצִ֧יאוּ אֵלָ֛יו לִנְתָחֶ֖יהָ וְאֶת־הָרֹ֑אשׁ וַיַּקְטֵ֖ר עַל־הַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃ (יד) וַיִּרְחַ֥ץ אֶת־הַקֶּ֖רֶב וְאֶת־הַכְּרָעָ֑יִם וַיַּקְטֵ֥ר עַל־הָעֹלָ֖ה הַמִּזְבֵּֽחָה׃ (טו) וַיַּקְרֵ֕ב אֵ֖ת קׇרְבַּ֣ן הָעָ֑ם וַיִּקַּ֞ח אֶת־שְׂעִ֤יר הַֽחַטָּאת֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר לָעָ֔ם וַיִּשְׁחָטֵ֥הוּ וַֽיְחַטְּאֵ֖הוּ כָּרִאשֽׁוֹן׃ (טז) וַיַּקְרֵ֖ב אֶת־הָעֹלָ֑ה וַֽיַּעֲשֶׂ֖הָ כַּמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃
(א) וַהֲוָה בְּיוֹמָא תְמִינָאָה קְרָא משֶׁה לְאַהֲרֹן וְלִבְנוֹהִי וּלְסָבֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל: (ב) וַאֲמַר לְאַהֲרֹן סַב לָךְ עֶגַל בַּר תּוֹרֵי לְחַטָּאתָא וּדְכַר לַעֲלָתָא שַׁלְמִין וְקָרֵב קֳדָם יְיָ: (ג) וְעִם בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל תְּמַלֵּל לְמֵימָר סִיבוּ צְפִיר בַּר עִזִּין לְחַטָּאתָא וְעֵגָל וְאִמָּר בְּנֵי שְׁנָא שַׁלְמִין לַעֲלָתָא: (ד) וְתוֹר וּדְכָר לְנִכְסַת קוּדְשַׁיָּא לְדַבָּחָא קֳדָם יְיָ וּמִנְחָתָא דְּפִילָא בִמְשָׁח אֲרֵי יוֹמָא דֵין יְקָרָא דַיְיָ מִתְגְּלִי לְכוֹן: (ה) וּנְסִיבוּ יָת דִּי פַקִּיד משֶׁה לָקֳדָם מַשְׁכַּן זִמְנָא וּקְרִיבוּ כָּל כְּנִשְׁתָּא וְקָמוּ קֳדָם יְיָ: (ו) וַאֲמַר משֶׁה דֵּין פִּתְגָּמָא דִּי פַקִּיד יְיָ תַּעְבְּדוּן וְיִתְגְּלִי לְכוֹן יְקָרָא דַיְיָ: (ז) וַאֲמַר משֶׁה לְאַהֲרֹן קְרַב לְמַדְבְּחָא וְעִבֵד יָת חַטָּאתָךְ וְיָת עֲלָתָךְ וְכַפַּר עֲלָךְ וְעַל עַמָּא וְעִבֵד יָת קֻרְבַּן עַמָּא וְכַפַּר עֲלֵיהוֹן כְּמָא דִי פַּקִּיד יְיָ: (ח) וּקְרֵב אַהֲרֹן לְמַדְבְּחָא וּנְכֵס יָת עֶגְלָא דְחַטָּאתָא דִּי לֵיהּ: (ט) וְקָרִיבוּ בְּנֵי אַהֲרֹן יָת דְּמָא לֵיהּ וּטְבַל אֶצְבְּעֵיהּ בִּדְמָא וִיהַב עַל קַרְנַת מַדְבְּחָא וְיָת דְּמָא אֲרִיק לִיסוֹדָא דְמַדְבְּחָא: (י) וְיָת תַּרְבָּא וְיָת כָּלְיְתָא וְיָת חִצְרָא מִן כַּבְדָּא מִן חַטָּאתָא אַסֵּק לְמַדְבְּחָא כְּמָא דִי פַּקִּיד יְיָ יָת משֶׁה: (יא) וְיָת בִּשְׂרָא וְיָת מַשְׁכָּא אוֹקִיד בְּנוּרָא מִבָּרָא לְמַשְׁרִיתָא: (יב) וּנְכֵס יָת עֲלָתָא וְאַמְטִיאוּ בְּנֵי אַהֲרֹן לֵיהּ יָת דְּמָא וּזְרָקֵיהּ עַל מַדְבְּחָא סְחוֹר סְחוֹר: (יג) וְיָת עֲלָתָא אַמְטִיאוּ לֵיהּ לְאֵבָרָהָא וְיָת רֵישָׁא וְאַסֵּק עַל מַדְבְּחָא: (יד) וְחַלִּיל יָת גַּוָּא וְיָת כְּרָעַיָּא וְאַסֵּק עַל עֲלָתָא לְמַדְבְּחָא: (טו) וְקָרֵב יָת קֻרְבַּן עַמָּא וּנְסִיב יָת צְפִירָא דְחַטָּאתָא דִּי לְעַמָּא וְנָכְסֵיהּ וְכַפֵּר בִּדְמֵיהּ כְּקַדְמָאָה: (טז) וְקָרֵב יָת עֲלָתָא וְעָבְדַהּ כִּדְחָזֵי:
1. It happened on the eighth day, Moshe called to Aharon and to his sons, and to the elders of Israel. 2. He said to Aharon: “Take for yourself a calf of the herd for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering – unblemished – and bring them near before Hashem. 3. And with the children of Israel speak, saying: Take a male goat for a sin offering, and a calf and a lamb a year old, unblemished, for a burnt offering, 4. and an ox and a ram for a holiness offering to sacrifice before Hashem, and a flour offering that is mixed with oil because this day Hashem’s glory will be revealed to you.”[1] 5. They took that which Moshe commanded to the front of the Tent of Meeting, and the entire congregation came near and they stood before Hashem. 6. Moshe said, “This is the matter that Hashem has commanded you to do, and Hashem’s glory will be revealed to you.” 7. Moshe said to Aharon: “Come near to the altar and make your sin offering and your burnt offering, and atone for yourself and for the people, and make the people’s offering and atone for them, as Hashem commanded.” 8. Aharon came near to the altar and slaughtered the calf of his sin offering. 9. Aharon’s sons brought the blood near to him. He dipped his finger in the blood and put (it) on the horns of the altar; and the blood he poured on the base of the altar. 10. The fat, the kidneys, and the lobe from the liver from the sin offering he smoked on the altar as Hashem commanded Moshe, 11. and the flesh and the hide were burned in fire outside the camp. 12. He slaughtered the burnt offering. Aharon’s sons passed the blood to him, and he threw it on the altar all around. 13. They passed the burnt offering to him in its limbs,[2] and the head, and he smoked (them) on the altar. 14. He washed the entrails and the legs, and he smoked them on the burnt offering on the altar. 15. He brought the people’s offering near. He took the goat of the sin offering for the people and he slaughtered it. He atoned with its blood[3] like the first. 16. He brought the burnt offering near and made it as is fit.[4]
