Chapter 10
(א) בָּעֵ֨ת הַהִ֜וא אָמַ֧ר יְהֹוָ֣ה אֵלַ֗י פְּסׇל־לְךָ֞ שְׁנֵֽי־לוּחֹ֤ת אֲבָנִים֙ כָּרִ֣אשֹׁנִ֔ים וַעֲלֵ֥ה אֵלַ֖י הָהָ֑רָה וְעָשִׂ֥יתָ לְּךָ֖ אֲר֥וֹן עֵֽץ׃ (ב) וְאֶכְתֹּב֙ עַל־הַלֻּחֹ֔ת אֶ֨ת־הַדְּבָרִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר הָי֛וּ עַל־הַלֻּחֹ֥ת הָרִאשֹׁנִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר שִׁבַּ֑רְתָּ וְשַׂמְתָּ֖ם בָּאָרֽוֹן׃ (ג) וָאַ֤עַשׂ אֲרוֹן֙ עֲצֵ֣י שִׁטִּ֔ים וָאֶפְסֹ֛ל שְׁנֵי־לֻחֹ֥ת אֲבָנִ֖ים כָּרִאשֹׁנִ֑ים וָאַ֣עַל הָהָ֔רָה וּשְׁנֵ֥י הַלֻּחֹ֖ת בְּיָדִֽי׃ (ד) וַיִּכְתֹּ֨ב עַֽל־הַלֻּחֹ֜ת כַּמִּכְתָּ֣ב הָרִאשׁ֗וֹן אֵ֚ת עֲשֶׂ֣רֶת הַדְּבָרִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר דִּבֶּר֩ יְהֹוָ֨ה אֲלֵיכֶ֥ם בָּהָ֛ר מִתּ֥וֹךְ הָאֵ֖שׁ בְּי֣וֹם הַקָּהָ֑ל וַיִּתְּנֵ֥ם יְהֹוָ֖ה אֵלָֽי׃ (ה) וָאֵ֗פֶן וָֽאֵרֵד֙ מִן־הָהָ֔ר וָֽאָשִׂם֙ אֶת־הַלֻּחֹ֔ת בָּאָר֖וֹן אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשִׂ֑יתִי וַיִּ֣הְיוּ שָׁ֔ם כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוַּ֖נִי יְהֹוָֽה׃ (ו) וּבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל נָ֥סְע֛וּ מִבְּאֵרֹ֥ת בְּנֵי־יַעֲקָ֖ן מוֹסֵרָ֑ה שָׁ֣ם מֵ֤ת אַהֲרֹן֙ וַיִּקָּבֵ֣ר שָׁ֔ם וַיְכַהֵ֛ן אֶלְעָזָ֥ר בְּנ֖וֹ תַּחְתָּֽיו׃ (ז) מִשָּׁ֥ם נָסְע֖וּ הַגֻּדְגֹּ֑דָה וּמִן־הַגֻּדְגֹּ֣דָה יׇטְבָ֔תָה אֶ֖רֶץ נַ֥חֲלֵי מָֽיִם׃ (ח) בָּעֵ֣ת הַהִ֗וא הִבְדִּ֤יל יְהֹוָה֙ אֶת־שֵׁ֣בֶט הַלֵּוִ֔י לָשֵׂ֖את אֶת־אֲר֣וֹן בְּרִית־יְהֹוָ֑ה לַעֲמֹד֩ לִפְנֵ֨י יְהֹוָ֤ה לְשָֽׁרְתוֹ֙ וּלְבָרֵ֣ךְ בִּשְׁמ֔וֹ עַ֖ד הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃ (ט) עַל־כֵּ֞ן לֹֽא־הָיָ֧ה לְלֵוִ֛י חֵ֥לֶק וְנַחֲלָ֖ה עִם־אֶחָ֑יו יְהֹוָה֙ ה֣וּא נַחֲלָת֔וֹ כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר דִּבֶּ֛ר יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ לֽוֹ׃ (י) וְאָנֹכִ֞י עָמַ֣דְתִּי בָהָ֗ר כַּיָּמִים֙ הָרִ֣אשֹׁנִ֔ים אַרְבָּעִ֣ים י֔וֹם וְאַרְבָּעִ֖ים לָ֑יְלָה וַיִּשְׁמַ֨ע יְהֹוָ֜ה אֵלַ֗י גַּ֚ם בַּפַּ֣עַם הַהִ֔וא לֹא־אָבָ֥ה יְהֹוָ֖ה הַשְׁחִיתֶֽךָ׃ (יא) וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהֹוָה֙ אֵלַ֔י ק֛וּם לֵ֥ךְ לְמַסַּ֖ע לִפְנֵ֣י הָעָ֑ם וְיָבֹ֙אוּ֙ וְיִֽירְשׁ֣וּ אֶת־הָאָ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁר־נִשְׁבַּ֥עְתִּי לַאֲבֹתָ֖ם לָתֵ֥ת לָהֶֽם׃ {פ}
(א) בְּעִדָּנָא הַהִיא אֲמַר יְיָ לִי פְּסַל לָךְ תְּרֵין לוּחֵי אַבְנַיָּא כְּקַדְמָאֵי וְסַק לָקֳדָמַי לְטוּרָא וְתַעְבֵּד לָךְ אֲרוֹנָא דְאָעָא: (ב) וְאֶכְתּוֹב עַל לוּחַיָּא יָת פִּתְגָּמַיָּא דִּי הֲווֹ עַל לוּחַיָּא קַדְמָאֵי דִּי תְבַרְתָּא וּתְשַׁוִּנּוּן בַּאֲרוֹנָא: (ג) וַעֲבָדִית אֲרוֹנָא דְּאָעֵי שִׁטִּין וּפְסָלִית תְּרֵין לוּחֵי אַבְנַיָּא כְּקַדְמָאֵי וּסְלֵקִית לְטוּרָא וּתְרֵין לוּחַיָּא בִּידִי: (ד) וּכְתַב עַל לוּחַיָּא כִּכְתָבָא קַדְמָאָה יָת עַשְׂרָא פִתְגָּמַיָּא דִּי מַלִּיל יְיָ עִמְּכוֹן בְּטוּרָא מִגּוֹ אֶשָׁתָא בְּיוֹמָא דִקְהָלָא וִיהָבִנּוּן יְיָ לִי: (ה) וְאִתְפְּנֵיתִי וּנְחָתִית מִן טוּרָא וְשַׁוֵּיתִי יָת לוּחַיָּא בַּאֲרוֹנָא דִּי עֲבָדִית וַהֲווֹ תַמָּן כְּמָא דִי פַקְּדַנִי יְיָ: (ו) וּבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל נְטָלוּ מִבְּאֵרוֹת בְּנֵי יַעֲקָן לְמוֹסֵרָה תַּמָּן מִית אַהֲרֹן וְאִתְקְבַר תַּמָּן וְשַׁמֵּשׁ אֶלְעָזָר בְּרֵיהּ תְּחוֹתוֹהִי: (ז) מִתַּמָּן נְטָלוּ לְגֻדְגֹּד וּמִן גֻּדְגֹּד לְיָטְבָת אַרְעָא נָגְדָן נַחֲלִין דְּמַיִּין: (ח) בְּעִדָּנָא הַהִיא אַפְרֵשׁ יְיָ יָת שִׁבְטָא דְלֵוִי לְמִטַּל יָת אֲרוֹן קְיָמָא דַיְיָ לְמֵקַם קֳדָם יְיָ לְשַׁמָּשׁוּתֵיהּ וּלְבָרָכָא בִשְׁמֵיהּ עַד יוֹמָא הָדֵין: (ט) עַל כֵּן לָא הֲוָה לְלֵוִי חֳלָק וְאַחֲסָנָא עִם אֲחוֹהִי מַתְּנָן דִּיהַב לֵיהּ יְיָ אִנּוּן אַחֲסַנְתֵּיהּ כְּמָא דִי מַלִּיל יְיָ אֱלָהָךְ לֵיהּ: (י) וַאֲנָא הֲוֵיתִי קָאֵם בְּטוּרָא כְּיוֹמִין קַדְמָאִין אַרְבְּעִין יְמָמִין וְאַרְבְּעִין לֵילָוָן וְקַבִּיל יְיָ צְלוֹתִי אַף בְּזִמְנָא הַהוּא לָא אָבֵי יְיָ לְחַבָּלוּתָךְ: (יא) וַאֲמַר יְיָ לִי קוּם זִיל לְמִטּוּל קֳדָם עַמָּא וְיֵעֲלוּן וְיֵרְתוּן יָת אַרְעָא דִּי קַיֵּמִית לַאֲבָהָתְהוֹן לְמִתַּן לְהוֹן:
1. At that time, Hashem said to me, ‘Carve for yourself two tablets of stone like the first; ascend before Me on the mountain, and make for yourself an ark of wood. 2. I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets that you broke, and you shall place them in the ark.’ 3. I made an ark of acacia wood and I carved two tablets of stone like the first. I ascended the mountain and the two tablets (were) in my hand. 4. He wrote on the tablets like the first text – the ten statements[1] that Hashem spoke with you on the mountain from among the fire on the day of the assembly – and Hashem gave them to me. 5. I turned and I descended from the mountain, and I placed the tablets in the ark that I had made. They are there, as Hashem commanded me. 6. And the children of Israel traveled from B’eiros B’nei Yaakan[2] to Moseira. Aharon died there and was buried there; his son Elazar ministered in his place.[3] 7. From there they traveled to Gudgod, and from Gudgod to Yotvas, a land drawing streams of water. 8. At that time Hashem separated the tribe of Levi to carry the ark of Hashem’s covenant, to stand before Hashem, to minister to Him and to bless in His name, until this very day. 9. Therefore, Levi had no portion and inheritance with his brethren; the gifts that Hashem gave him, they are his inheritance, as Hashem your God spoke to him. 10. I was standing on the mountain like the first days: 40 days and 40 nights. Hashem accepted my prayer also on this occasion; Hashem would not destroy you. 11. Hashem said to me, ‘Arise, go to travel before the people. They will come and they will inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them.’
