3,351. Nullifying Terumah From Outside of Israel

Terumos 13:10

Let’s say that a seah of terumah falls into less than 100 seah of secular produce, after which more secular produce falls into the mixture so that there’s more than 100 times the volume of the terumah. If the additional produce was added inadvertently, the terumah is nullified because the mixture is 101 times its volume. If he intentionally mixed it in, then the whole mixture is rendered meduma. This is because we don’t intentionally nullify things that are prohibited under Biblical law.

Terumos 13:11

One may nullify terumah from outside of Israel with a majority of permitted produce and eat it when one is ritually clean. Furthermore, if one has terumah wine from outside of Israel, he should mix one log of terumah wine with two of secular wine so that there are three logs. Later, he can add another log of terumah wine to the three, and remove a log of the four and drink it. He can continue adding a log and drinking a log until all the terumah wine is finished. We see that one can nullify multiple logs of terumah with two logs of secular wine.
