3,362. Clean Terumah or Unclean Chullin?

Terumos 14:16

Let’s say that there are two baskets of secular produce, one ritually clean and the other ritually unclean. If a seah of terumah falls into one and we don’t know which, we assume that it fell into the ritually unclean produce (again because we combine the “accidents”).

Terumos 14:17

Now let’s say that there are two baskets, one of ritually clean terumah and one of ritually unclean secular produce. If a seah of ritually clean terumah falls into one, we assume that it fell into the basket of terumah. Nevertheless, the secular produce should be eaten in ritual purity as terumah is eaten.
