3,371. The Aroma of Terumah
Terumos 15:13
Let’s say that someone removed a warm loaf of bread from an oven and put it on a barrel of terumah wine. If the loaf is of wheat, it remains permitted, but if it’s of barley, it becomes prohibited because it absorbs.
Terumos 15:14
If an oven is fired using terumah cumin, bread baked in it remains permitted. This is because it doesn’t absorb the taste of the cumin, just the aroma, which doesn’t render things prohibited.
