3,516. The Blessing on Second Tithe

If someone wants to transfer the sanctity of second tithe to other produce, he must bring the other produce to Jerusalem and eat it there; one may not transfer sanctity from one species of produce to another, nor of superior produce to inferior produce, even of the same species. If one did make such transfers of sanctity, the transfer is effective.

One who redeems second tithe produce recites the bracha that God sanctified us with His commandments and commanded us regarding the redemption of second tithe. If he transfers the sanctity to other produce or from money to produce, he recites the bracha that God commanded us regarding the transfer of second tithe sanctity. One who redeems or transfers the sanctity of doubtfully tithed produce (demai) doesn’t recite a bracha.
