3,596. When Not to Bring First Fruits
Hilchos Bikkurim 2:7
First fruits may not be brought from the current harvest for the previous harvest, nor vice versa. Therefore, one may not bring produce that sprouted before Tu b’Shevat for produce that sprouted after Tu b’Shevat. This is true regardless of whether the produce was planted or grew on its own, as per Numbers 18:13: “The first fruits of everything that is in their land.”
Hilchos Bikkurim 2:8
Produce owned by partners is likewise obligated in first fruits as per the verse just cited.
