Keilim 24:11-12

Keilim 24:11

There are three kinds of water skin and three kinds of shepherds’ bags: those that have the requisite capacity (7 kav for a skin and 5 kav for a bag – 3.5 gallons and 2.5 gallons, respectively) are susceptible to midras impurity, those that don’t have the requisite capacity are susceptible to corpse impurity and those made of fish skin are insusceptible to all types of impurity.

Keilim 24:12

There are three kinds of hide: one designed for use as a rug is susceptible to midras impurity, one designed to wrap utensils is susceptible to corpse impurity and one that will be made into straps and sandals is insusceptible to all types of impurity.
