3,984. Who May Send Offerings?

Hilchos Bias HaMikdash 2:11

A mourner doesn’t send sacrifices to be offered the entire week of shiva – not even wine, wood or frankincense. Similarly, a person with tzaraas (colloquially a “leper,” but not really) may not send his sacrifices to be offered; the whole time he’s considered unfit to “enter the camp,” his sacrifices are unfit to be offered. There is a doubt as to whether an excommunicated person may send sacrifices to be offered, so if they were offered, he has fulfilled his obligation.

Hilchos Bias HaMikdash 2:12

Someone who is ritually unclean from crawling vermin and similar things, as well as an uncircumcised male, may send their sacrifices to be offered – except for the korban Pesach (the Passover offering), which may not be offered for these people. (The latter case will be addressed more fully IY”H in Hilchos Korban Pesach.) No sacrifices may be offered for someone who is ritually unclean from contact with the dead until after he has been cleansed.
