315. Separate Utensils

46:7 One must also be careful not to eat from the same loaf of bread for both dairy and meat. It is likewise customary to have separate dishes for salt, one to use with meat meals and another to use with dairy meals. This is because people sometime dip their food into the salt and food particles may be left behind.

46:8 The accepted practice is to mark the knives and other utensils used for dairy so that they do not get mixed up with those used for meat.
